Flashcards
Rules people get wrong
The misinformation that fails good drivers, verified against the Massachusetts Driver's Manual.
Flashing yellow circle Official
It's a warning: proceed with caution, stay alert, and look both ways when crossing the intersection.
Right turn on red Official
Allowed after a complete stop and yielding to pedestrians and other vehicles, unless a NO TURN ON RED sign is posted. (You may also turn left on red from a one-way onto a one-way, after stopping and yielding.)
Where to stop at a stop sign Official
Come to a complete halt before any crosswalk or stop line, yield, then go carefully. Just slowing down is not enough.
Four-way stop Official
When ALL WAY is posted, every vehicle stops. The first to arrive has the right of way. Arrive together? Yield, make eye contact, proceed carefully.
