Massachusetts road test
The Watertown RMV road test, without surprises.
The requirements, the maneuvers, both routes, and the rules people get wrong, so on test day, the only nerves you feel are the normal kind.

Your day-of plan

- "Slow is smooth, smooth is fast." Deliberate driving looks competent. Breathe, eyes forward, gentle on the brake.
- Arrive 15 minutes early, practice both routes in your test car beforehand, and, when you finish, put the car in park.
If you don't pass
Plenty of people don't pass the first time, it's a points system, not a verdict on you. You'll wait two weeks before retaking, and you can attempt up to six road tests in a 12-month period. Rebook online, then re-drill whatever cost you points. Official
